The International Science and
The International Science and Technology Center (ISTC) is an intergovernmental organization connecting scientists from Kazakhstan, Armenia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Georgia with their peers and research organizations in the EU, Japan, Republic of Korea, Norway and the United States.
ISTC facilitates international science projects and assists the global scientific and business community to source and engage with CIS and Georgian institutes that develop or possess an excellence of scientific know-how.
Euratom ratifies the ISTC Continuation Agreement as the European Union reaffirms staunch support for the organization
On May 26, 2017 ISTC Executive Director David Cleave visited the EU Delegation to Kazakhstan to receive from the EU Ambassador Traian Hristea the letter from Mr. Neven Mimica, European Commissioner for International Co-operation and Development, notifying the approval by EURATOM of the Agreement continuing the International Science and Technology Center.
Kazakhstan has opened a new facility to provide security training to its nuclear facility personnel. The Nuclear Security Training Centre (NSTC) has been developed with the support of the US National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA).
On June 14, 2017 within the context of the International Specialized Exhibition Astana EXPO 2017, the International Science and Technology Center (ISTC) will host an ISTC Special day event dedicated to the theme "Future Energy and Technologies".
