ISTC at the EXPO 2025 Japan Day

On July 3, 2025, the National Day of Japan “Japan Day” was held at EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai. As an Official Participant of the EXPO, ISTC was honored to be invited to the official ceremony and celebration of this important occasion. Organized by the Government of Japan, the event showcased the theme “Life will bloom”. This event is part of Japan's reconstruction history, showcasing its resilience in overcoming the damage caused by numerous natural disasters, including devastating earthquakes.
The ceremony opened with welcoming remarks by Mr. Matsumoto Masayoshi, Commissioner General for Japan EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai. Distinguished guests, including His Imperial Highness Crown Prince Akishino, Honorary President of Expo 2025 Osaka, and Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru, attended the event and delivered heartfelt speeches. Audience enjoyed a vibrant cultural program, which included a traditional Japanese calligraphy performance by high school students, contemporary dance, and a stunning musical performance by the renowned singer MISIA.
In addition to the ceremony, ISTC was invited to the Japan Pavilion, which explores the concept of "Between Lives." Visitors were guided through three areas: the "Plant Area" (from waste to water), the "Farm Area" (from water to material), and the "Factory Area" (from material to product) to learn about the Japanese aesthetic concept of "circulation.
