The International School on Theoretical Physics "Quantum Physics on micro- and macrolevels: New Frontiers" was held on September 23 – 29, 2012.

The program of the school provided a possibility to the young scientists starting their research work in theoretical physics to get acquainted with the state of the art in this segment of physics, including the most important present-day problems and research perspectives.

The International Conference “Influence of global climate change on the ecosystem of arid and high mountainous zone of Central Asia”was held on May 22-24 2012, in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.

The conference was focused on the influence of global climate change on the ecosystem and - Development of measures aimed at adaptation of living systems to climatic changes in Eurasia.

A workshop “Efforts against Illicit Trafficking of Nuclear and Radiation Materials in Central Asia – Regional Priorities and Experience” was held on May 16-17, 2012 in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Open R&BD Innovation by Inter-collaboration between Tomsk, Russia and Ulsan, Korea, 14-16 May 2012

The workshop was devoted to R&D applications in the automotive and chemical industries, new materials, ICT technologies and materials, resource conservation and recycling, power transmission systems and inorganic coatings.
