Workshops on EU Sanctions were held in Bishkek, bringing governmental and business representatives
The International Science and Technology Center (ISTC) and the Association of Certified Sanctions Specialists (ACSS) provided organizational support for the European Union (EU) to conduct training seminars on EU sanctions in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on 9-10 November 2023.
The workshops' main goals were to avoid any circumvention of the EU sanctions and to increase public knowledge of them and their application. Government representatives attended the first day's meeting, while Kyrgyz private business owners who wanted to learn more about EU sanctions were the focus of the second day's training.
A group of EU officials and sanctions specialists led the training sessions, which included lectures and interactive Q&A.
