The Tajik Association for Biological Protection (TaBios) organized a seminar on the implementation of the course "Fundamentals of Export Control" on 13 - 15 September at the "Saturn" health center, as part of the ISTC's project "Increasing awareness and education in the field of export controls to prevent unintentional spread and develop a safety culture".
 
At the round table, experts and representatives of Tajik universities recognized the implementation of the ISTC project and the implementation of the course “Fundamentals of Export Controls” as successful and meeting modern teaching requirements, also contact the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan with a request to introduce a course "Fundamentals of Export Control" in specialized universities of Tajikistan as a compulsory discipline.
 
Export control is one of the key elements of the country's national security. The relevance and need to study this problem lies in the fact that in the world there is a real danger of the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, their means of delivery, the latest weapons and military equipment created on the basis of high technologies. The greatest concern of the world community is the possibility of these weapons and technologies getting into countries with unstable situations or terrorist organizations and groups whose actions can destabilize the situation in a particular region of the world.
