The International Science and Technology Center and the Maqsut Narikbayev Institute for Networking and Development (MIND) of Astana, Kazakhstan have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) to further scientific research (S&T) and educational activity. The Memorandum was signed on 15th February 2024 by ISTC Executive Director David Cleave and the Institute’s Coordinator of the Center for Analytics and Research, Altair Akhmetov.

Cooperation between the ISTC and MIND will take the form of planning, organizing and conducting joint scientific research; developing joint teams of authors to create, publish and promote teaching aids and scientific literature; organizing round tables and discussion forums; exchanging specialists to study priority scientific topics; joint drafting of regulations addressing science for the benefit of governments; advanced training and retraining of scientists; joint development of higher education post-graduate studies; and, organizing ISTC internships for the Institute’s students.

The Memorandum of Cooperation recognizes the global importance of ISTC’s research mandate and MIND’s university scientific education through bilateral and multilateral agreements and developing research, consultations, training and educational activities. Students, faculty and professionals alike will benefit from this formal cooperation.

Additionally to note that this MoC now replaces the MoC signed earlier in 2019 with the Kazakh Humanitarian Law University (KAZGUU) , the previous name of the Maqsut Narikbayev University.
