The Armenian National Academy of Science seeks to develop its work with ISTC

ISTC met with senior representatives of the Armenian National Academy of Science during a seminar in Yerevan on 11 February 2009. Forty delegates attended the seminar, including the Vice-President of the Academy of Science, high officials from the State Committee on Science, representatives of the Ministries of Health and Agriculture, officials from the National Rescue Service, Directors of leading Armenian Institutes and managers of on-going ISTC projects. 

Head of ISTC's Armenian branch office, Hamlet Navasardyan, gave a presentation 'ISTC in Modern Conditions' during which he informed delegates on the results of the December 2008 Governing Board meeting in Moscow, new initiatives at ISTC and the Armenian branch office's plans for future development. 

ISTC and Armenian closer collaboration were discussed with government representatives and the Academy of Sciences. During the meeting, Mr. V.Davidyants, Chairman of the National Institute of Health, expressed his gratitude for the help that ISTC had provided to the Institute and its programs.

The President of the National Academy of Science, R.Martirosyan, received ISTC Chief Science Coordinator, Tatyana Gremyakova, and Hamlet Navasardyan during a meeting linked to ISTC's presence in Armenia.
