Seminar on Children’s Oncology, November 2, Moscow

ISTC and the "Petersburg Dialogue" organized the workshop “High-Tech Diagnostics in Children’s Oncology – Status and Prospective” that was held on November 2. About 15 clinical experts from Moscow region and Germany participated and discussed topical problems of diagnostics and treatment of childhood cancers both in Russia and Germany. The main issues underlined at the forum were the lack of standards and quality control. The need for strengthening of international networks and creation of centers of excellence in children's oncology was highlighted. The participants discussed potential collaboration between Dusseldorf and Moscow Onclogical & Hematological Centers.

The Petersburg Dialogue is a discussion forum that promotes understanding between civil societies of Germany and Russia. The Petersburg Dialogue was launched in 2001 by German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder and Russian President Vladimir Putin. It is supported by political and private foundations, German and Russian companies and the governments of both countries.
