Works on disassembling of harmful and hazardous objects in extreme conditions (intensive ionizing radiation, radioactive contaminations, harmful and hazardous chemical and physical external impacts, fires, etc.) requires additional technical equipping of industry. This problem calls for creating remotely controlled automatic facilities for metal structure cutting in order to exclude or maximally limit the presence of maintenance personnel in risk areas.
To increase safety of commercially applied blasting technologies, it is proposed to develop an enhanced-safety blasting system, specifically for cutting various metal circular and flat articles and for felling concrete structures, for example at objects with the increased radioactive background (cutting of process pipes at nuclear power plants, etc.) and at oil-and-gas pipeline objects (cutting of header pipes of various diameters). At that, to ship the blasting, mount it onto the object, and put it in action, it is planned to use robotic devices, for example an industrial robot being developed at the RFNC-VNIITF. This robot is capable of moving over angled and vertical surfaces.
The presented project is directed on conducting R&D works on feasibility study of fabrication and estimation of a new enhanced-safety blasting system that uses rolled extended shaped charges as a cutting tool.
The novelty of the present project is in the effect that the enhanced-safety blasting system is used for initiating shaped charges and blasting systems which based on a circuit of stress wave excitation in the cut material; and robotic facilities are used for shipping the blasting system, mounting it onto the object under destruction, and putting it in action.
In technical respect two basic tasks should be fulfilled:
ѕ creation of the enhanced-safety blasting system for cutting metal and other structures;
ѕ usage of robotic facilities for shipping the blasting system, mounting it onto the object under destruction, and putting it in action.
The project will allow working through one of lines for enhancing the blasting safety, especially under extreme conditions, and will be useful for Russian industry and world community.
