Project summary

The goal of this work is to develop of acoustic sensor equipment for rigid operation conditions to provide check for tightness (leak test) of primary contours of NPP PWR and RBMK and NPP safety increase. Sensor equipment wi11 include primary transducers, communication lines, units for preliminary amplification and matching with secondary equipment.

It is suggested to increase sufficiently Russian NPP safety at the account of acoustic sensor devices included into vibroacoustic and acoustoemission diagnostics system of NPP equipment.

Constructive developments have been carried out for various modifications of primary transducers, experimental investigations of models, design of assembly units and elements, study of sensitive element material, tests to match specification requirements, certification works, full-scale tests, development of units for preliminary amplification and matching, methodic basis for software.

At the stage of investigation the major requirements are specified to the primary transducers, the first are necessary to satisfy requirements of check methodic basis in the most optimum way; optimization of data processing separation is carried out between matching units and a computer, the major sensor performance is taken (conversion ratio, amplitude-frequency characteristics etc.), depending on constructive scheme, sensitive element material and etc.

At the stage of development the design documentation to the prototype is developed, the prototype batch of sensors and units for preliminary amplification and matching are produced and tests are conducted to match the requirements, certification works are conducted.

At the stage of full-scale tests the full-scale tests of sensor prototypes are carried out as the part of condition control system for circulation primary contours of NPP reactors.

The most important project result must be creation of industry monitoring systems to check pipelines and NPP equipment. using acoustic sensor equipment, including vibroacoustic (50-200 kHz) and acousto-emission (100-1000 kHz) primary transducers.

It is necessary to mention, that foreign analogs, for example, PYRO. D9215 "РАС" (USA) do not satisfy all the requirements to sensor equipment which NIKIET experts have.
