Project summaryThe purpose of the given project is monitoring antibiotic resistance of the microorganisms detected from clinical samples with use of diffusion in agar disks method. Revealing and control over resistant strains in medical institutions. In addition to be carried out the analysis of foodstuff and water on revealing food and water bacterium and their analysis on stability to antibiotics, to reveal their role in resistance distribution through a food chain. Development of the national strategy for struggle against stability to antibiotics, advocacy for rational application of antibiotics in all branches
During the period existence of Soviet Union in Tajikistan access to antibacterial preparations has been strictly limited. There was a restriction on acquisition and use of antibiotics. For this purpose, what to get an antibiotic, the recipe of the doctor was necessary, the personnel of clinics conducted the strict account of antibacterial means. Following collapse of the Soviet Union antibiotics in Tajikistan began to be on sale without the doctor prescription and became easily and popular. In many regions patients buy antibiotics without consultation of the doctor, independently defining duration of a course and a dose. There were huge quantities pharmaceutical the companies which offered clinics that the last have reconsidered lists of bought antibiotics and have included in them the medical products which are let out by these companies. Also many family doctors on purpose improvement of financial position and profit reception appoint preparations of these of the company without the preliminary analysis to sensitivity to these medicines.
In some regions of Republic the antibiotic-resistance problem is the most difficult, as there are no competent bacteriologists and epidemiologists to be focused on the given problem. Antibiotic-resistance of the microorganisms is potential threat not only for our Republic as trade globalizations, travel increase risk of distribution antibiotics resistant strains with foodstuff and animals even more.
As a result of realization of the given project the necessary potential in wide use of existing bacteriological, sanitary-and-hygienic, epidemiological, veterinary methods for the prevention and distribution of antibiotic-resistance and development of new methods.
