Project summaryThe project aims to study the effect of radiation heat on rock salt from the point of view of radioactive waste disposal in an underground salt-formation cavity. A similar project studying the effect of heat on massive rocks is on-going ISTC project #307-2.
The project will study the effect of heat and radiation on crystallized salt in a laboratory.
