Project summary

The purpose of the Project is the substantiation of an opportunity and main technical decisions of coated particles application, developed for high temperature reactors in maintained and being built WWER reactors with the purpose of radical increase of their safety.

It is supposed to use experience of development and operation of coated particles (CP), accumulated in Russia, as well as created production base for finishing of a design and technology of manufacturing with reference to conditions of work in WWER reactor core.

In the Project it is supposed to carry out CP tests in conditions, of appropriate to normal operation (350 °C, 16.0 MPa).

As a result of fulfillment of the Project it is supposed to receive the technological information, necessary for development of the technical project for CP fuel assemblies for working WWER and those WWER which are under construction.
