A considerable part of Kazakhstan regions, adjoining to industrial centers, refers to ecologically unfavorable conditions. Here the pollution of water, air, soil and plants by unhealthy matters by 2-5 and higher than Limited Permission Concentration (L.P.C.). Because of these reasons the population more often disease and the average life duration of people is considerably lower than average statistical duration. Therefore side by side with the measures on the improvement of ecological situation, full value nutrition of the population is one of the Priority State problems. Besides the high-calorie products the full value nutrition must are included fruits, berries, grapes and vegetables, containing irreplaceable for man’s organism vitamins, microelements, mineral salts and the other valuable substances. Besides high biochemical value most fruits and small-fruits crops have ability take out from man’s organism of unhealthy matters, in that number radio-active substances, as well as possess medical and sanitation properties. This increases greatly their value.
In spite of great importance, in Republic the fruit consumption is not exceed 15 kg for each inhabitant in year, what is in 5-6 times lower medical rate. Moreover, considerable part producing in Republic fruits, berries and grapes are grown in ecological pollution areas and are often unsafe for the consumption.
The aim of Project is the elaborated technology of propagation, growing, storage and processing of valuable fruits and small-fruit medicinal crops for sanitation and medical nutrition. The tasks of Project are to study and choice more valuable crops and varieties by complex of positive sings, to place their in ecologically pure areas and to use ecologically safe technologies for the receipt of fresh and process productions, meeting the requirements of sanitary and medical nutrition. The elaboration of effective technology of accelerated propagation of new species (honeysuckle, blackberry and sea-buckthorn) using tissue and cell culture, and the study of the initial cell differentiation, morphogenesis and regeneration in tissue culture of small fruits, depending on genotype development stage of plant-donor-explant are the main problems of the Project.
