The purpose of the project: to research and development a new technology to obtain natural biologically active substances which is based on co-cultivation of yeast and lactic acid bacteria, creation of industrial production of the new generation of biologically active substances and their usage in the food industry and medicine.
It is known, at present time the world production of food does not satisfy to biological requirements of the population of our planet. Alongside with it, the contamination of food by heavy metals, pesticides and different pathogenic microorganisms, causing disease of the people by the salmonellosis and other intestinal infections, is observed (in ecological unfortunate regions, Kazakhstan in particular).
The authors of the project, together with the scientists from Oak-Ridge National Laboratory of USA, perform researches concerning to analysis of the new antimicrobial products (probiotics) for preventing contamination of food. The researches are performed on the creation of the consortium of lactic acid bacteria, which produce antibiotic substances, relating to low molecular weight peptides due to their structure and properties, into the culture medium. The researches over co-cultivation of baker's yeast and lactic acid bacteria, performed earlier by team of the authors and participants of the project, are protected by three Intellectual Properties of Kazakhstan, that is the sufficient substantiation for successful achievement of the target.
The project is directed on development of the new technology to obtain natural biologically active substances, which are optimally balanced on the natural formula that eliminate their negative influence at the organism of the human being. It will allow to provide population with easily restorable food, to improve quality and useful properties of food, to prevent and to lower the level of noxious effects at the organism of the human being and environment.
As a result, the new technology of co-cultivation of microorganisms, isolation and purification of biologically active substances will be developed, because the biologically active substances due to their properties are the high-effective adaptators, biocorrectors, biostimulators and immunomodulators. These substances are characterized by high efficiency in small doses, positive continuous influence at the organism of the human being, presence of irreplaceable alimentary substances optimally balanced by the quality and quantitative structure.
The new commodity can be developed as solution, paste, powder, tablets, capsules and in other form, depending on its function.
The implementation of the project is possible at regional, national and international levels.
Together with foreign participants the detail biochemical researches concerning to analysis of structure and properties of the obtained biologically active substances, biomedical tests and implementation of the project at the international level will be performed.
The implementation of the project gives opportunity to the scientists from Kazakhstan and USA:
· to be redirected on peace activity, to encourage the applied and fundamental researches in the area of provision of the population of our planet by the natural non-polluting biologically active components to ration;
· to prevent and to lower of the different diseases among the man and animals, and also contamination of the environment by parasitic and dangerous for man’s health substances;
· to increase the economic efficiency in social, industrial, agricultural and ecological areas.
