Project summary

The project objective is the establishment of the structure and physical properties interrelation between nanocarbon containing metals and polymers and the technology of their (reception and particularities) of the nanocarbon fillers themselves. Despite extensive studies in the field of finding of the correlation between the structure and physical properties of nanocarbon containing metals and polymers, this problem is far from the solution. It is caused by, amoung other factors, the specificity of the structure and the physical and chemical properties of the nanocarbon materials, the complex multilevel structural organization of polymers and metals, their high sensitivity to external effects, inadequacy of knowledge of the behavior of the structural elements in the field of external forces, etc.

Development of the project will allow us to reveal new (sides of display of) interrelation between the structural organization and physical properties of nanocomposite materials as well as with their synthesis technology that will be an important contribution to the development of nanoscience, nanotechnology, physics and chemistry of metals and polymers, medicine, industry, etc.

The project participants are experts in the fields of physical chemistry and polymer and metals technology; they have rich, invaluable experience in the solution of the problems of fundamental and applied importance.

During the project realization it is expected that, on the basis of the detailed behavior investigation of the structural elements of the nanocarbon containing metals and polymers, wide variations of the technological parameters will allow us to obtain new data on structural technological nanocompositions, to improve the synthesis technological processes for nanostructured materials, to detect the nature and development mechanisms of deformation processes, etc.

The practical value of the project consists in the development of the new synthesis methods for new nanocarbon metals and polymer materials with better industrial exploitation characteristics, which can be used during the development of new construction products.

The proposed project meets the ISTC requirements and goals for reorientation of weapon scientists into peaceful activity and their integration into the international scientific community, etc.

The length and volume of the activities under the project is planned for three years (36 months), using the modern methods of physical and chemical experiments, and application of computer equipment for carrying out modeling calculations as well as processing and analysis of data.

An important role in the successful implementation of the project is the incorporation of foreign collaborators; their expertise, evaluation, quality assessment, realization of the technological aspects of the problem, etc., will create favorable conditions for high-quality and in-time project implementation.
