Project summaryToday the milk cow is main producer of milk. This animal have, as a rule, big body, they claim plenty feeding, especial care and operation. Nevertheless, world economic situation shows, that high self-cost of milk make it unprofitable. Some countries have got milk-production quotas, there are difficulties with storage and sale of milk and milk products. Somewhere milk goat extrudes milk cow due to its adaptability and undemandancy.
However, the accounts demonstrate too weak correlation between body trait “Stature” and milk system development (r= 0,06 – 0,18). It means, that big cow could have shallow udder, and small, mini-cow could have deep, well-developed udder. The increasing of milk production balanced with lesser care.
Milk mini – cow (110 ± 5 sm of stature) could be selected within any breeds. The studying of them let to work out recommendations for their breeding and operation at the commercial farms’ base.
