Project summaryPrecise solutions of mathematical physics equations can be very useful to estimate accuracy of numerical methods and test computer codes. Precise solutions mean solutions given in the form of elementary functions or functional dependencies obtained with guaranteed accuracy.
Tremendous number of available publications and papers are devoted to creating analytical solutions for equations of gas dynamics (GD), gas dynamics with heat conduction (HGD), magnetic gas dynamics (MGD), radiation transfer (RT) in different approximations. However, issues of creating precise solutions and convenient tests based on them are still of great value.
The objective of the project is to:
1) obtain new analytical solutions for the problems of GD, HGD, MGD, PT;
2) compile collection of precise solutions on the basis of these new and already existing solutions.
Within the framework of the project it is planed to unite efforts of the scientists previously engaged in the nuclear weapons development. The project proposed will allow to reorient weapons scientists to peaceful activities. The results obtained will be available to the international scientific community and can be widely used in science, technology and education. All these comply with the basic requirements of ISTC.
