Project summaryThe objectives of this Project is to prepare the full-scale work-plan with the comments from USA taken into account.
Object in view is achieved by the coordination with American collaborators, and first of all with Argonne National Laboratory and South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, questions on what researches is carried out.
During realization Project Development Grant the hard work will be carried out with American collaborators. During preliminary discussions we have already come to a conclusion, that it is necessary to plan purchase of sensor controls and Loggers of the American manufacture. We have specified geoinformation devices which are expedient for using at realization of measurements. They are Logger with Standart Accessoires and accessoires of the Loggers, solar reaction calibrated sensor control and device reading the data.
Points of monitoring: Abastumani, Ambrolauri, Akhalkhalaki, Anaseuli, Bakuriani, Bathumi, Poti, Anaklia, Senaki, Supsa, Ajara, Mestia, Gora(Vani), Bashi (Kutaisi), Zestafoni, Sachkhere, Kaspi (Gori), Tbilisi, Jandara (Rustavi), Telavi, Mirzaani, Foka, Zarzma, Bakuriani, Matura, Omalo, Kazbegi (Mkinvari).
It will allow to receive the most valuable information not only for cadastre, but also for meteorological service of Georgia. It is very important. It is established, there are no corresponding devices in Georgia. Because of the absence of technical and financial assets Georgia is not part of the World Meteorological Organization like Armenia and Azerbaijan. World Meteorological Organization is United Nations Specialized Agency Located in Geneva, Switzerland.
Thus, financing the Project G-697.2 will allow not only to make solar cadastre in Georgia, but also practically organize meteorological service in Georgia.
The Project is especially actual in connection with the beginning of the Georgian American antiterrorist program.
Besides results will be submitted on the web-site of Sukhumi Institute of Physics and Technology. These results all free-of-charge can be use by interested opganization all over the world.
The Project is of great importance from the point of view of humanity as scientific refugees from Sukhumi participate in it. They were forced to leave native houses by Abkhazian terrorists and for some years their families live in heavy conditions in different boarding houses and hotels of Tbilisi.
