Project summaryModern laboratory of ecological monitoring has been created with participation and supporting of US EPA specialists at a former defense entity in Stepnogorsk in 1998-2003. Working under a row of ecological projects with EPA partners, the Lab has a real possibility to commercialize its activity and to occupy a leading place at a market of analytical services in RK, if the Lab will additionally demonstrate its high level of skills in air analysis implementation together with its experience in analytical abilities in environment objects research.
The important significance is that Monitoring Laboratory has received domestic and international accreditation.
Suggested project anticipates implementation of full-scale monitoring research of lower atmosphere layer in RK capital – Astana, which is the largest industrial center.
The project will allow developing and practically using of new analytical methods and methodological accesses for RK to solve the tasks of monitoring of atmosphere pollutions. All above documents would be developed on the base of the methods recommended from USEPA and ISO Standards for testing laboratories, and will be subjected to the State Metrological Attestation.
As the result of the project, the Lab will have a chance to propose the development and performance of ecological monitoring of the atmosphere at analytical service market, and it will positively be reflected on realization of tasks of commercialization.
