Project summary

The objective of the project is to investigate a problem of production of reentry vehiches which will be in extended weightless conditions with the native and foreign scientific-and-technological equipment in order to carry out experiments and to manufacture high-effective medical preparations, super-pure semiconductor crystals and special alloys into weightlessness. The project advantage is to use the cases and partially command instruments of the warheads which are liquidated in accord with the START agreement for production of the reentry vehicles and the Navy missiles RSM-40, RSM-50, which are removed from military service as the launch vehicles.

The project allows to apply knowledge and experience of the specialists which have worked in manufacturing of weapon for peaceful purposes. It has a long-term prospect, an economical advisability and it is realized in the interests of all the world association.

In the course of researches the construction of reentry vehicles comprising a body, telemetry measurement landing and research systems and a payload should be decided. A vehicle should provide:

• required conditions for equipment operation;
• touch-down speed required;
• monitoring of the vehicle flight parameters and performance of scientific-and-technological equipment;
• prompt search of the vehicle after touch-down.

Amount of the rocket and SDCS updating will be determined for launch support of the mentioned vehicles.

Tentative technical characteristics of the vehicles:

• payload mass - up to 150 kg, payload space - up to 200 m;
• zero-G level - 10 … 10 within 20…30 minutes.

As a results of the project the scientific - technical report,the project plans and specifications,and the calculated data will be developed in an amount required for performing demonstration commercial launches in a year or one and a half year after completing of the project.

The world association needs in super-pure medical preparations such as ALFA-2 interferpheron erythropoethyne, interlencone-2, somnotomedin, lutropine and some others. Costs for them are not less than 500 million dollars a year and they grow continually. If the project will be implemented one launch gives from 1 to 1,5 gram of the preparation assessed from 1 to 8,5 million dollars a gram. In this case the estimated cost of a launch will be US $350000. It is possible to perfor, up to 15 launches a year.
