ISTC/STCU Technical Working Group Meeting on the environmental assessment for long term monitoring and remediation in and around Fukushima
The Meeting contributed to the efforts in Japan to mitigate the impact in and around Fukushima, through applying the results of ISTC/STCU projects performed in Russia, Ukraine, Georgia and other CIS countries, and with its network among the researchers and research institutes of member countries.

The Russian Delegation from the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Centre (GCTC), spend a week, 29 October - 2 November 2012, at the University College London (UCL), UK discussing potential collaboration areas

Announcemet: The ISTC-CERN-JINR Summer School on High Energy Physics and Accelerator Physics 2012 will be held at JINR, Dubna, RF from September 26 through October 2, 2012.
The course will include five days of lectures, hands-on activities, visits to the JINR experimental facilities and discussions

An International Summer School on Global Security was held on June 24 – July 7, 2012.
ISTC co-hosted “International Science Symposium on Combating Radionuclide Contamination in Agro-soil Environment” with Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan and STCU.
During the symposia the results and technologies based on ISTC and STCU projects on decontamination of farmlands and monitoring of agro-environment were presented.
The ISTC participated in a seminar held in Rome ahead of the upcoming Seoul Nuclear Security Summit.
